Rates
$160 for 50 minute individual therapy session
$225 for 90 minute intensive EMDR session

Insurance
I do not currently accept insurance, but can provide out-of-network superbills. There are some reasons that I have decided to do so, and would like to share these with you:
Diagnosis: Insurance companies typically require a diagnosis to be made after the first session. This means that after meeting with you for 30-50 minutes, I will be expected to diagnose you based on criteria in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual. To be fair to you as the client, as well as be graceful with myself as we continue to become acquainted with one another, I do not believe it is appropriate to have to diagnose someone with less than an hour of interaction.
Confidentiality: Insurance companies are able to request your records at any time and for any reason. Because they are paying for services rendered, they are subject to access your health records as desired or needed. By paying for services yourself, your therapy records will not be released to any party without a court order present.
Treatment Timeline: Insurance companies typically set a finite amount of therapy sessions to be financially covered. This can be anywhere from five to twenty sessions per year. By limiting therapy to a timeline set by a third party, rather than between you and I, it can sometimes prevent therapy goals from being met, or put undue pressure on your timeline of growth and healing.
Out-of-network superbills are receipts of service that can be provided to you, that you can submit to your insurance company. Insurance companies can be quite unpredictable in terms of their reimbursement rate, and I would encourage you to move forward with therapy only if my full rate is something that you can comfortably afford, with any reimbursements from insurance serving as an ‘added bonus’ of sorts. I would be happy to answer any further questions in regards to this, and will do my best to assist clients in navigating this process.
Payment
Payment is due at time of service. When enrolling in services, I will store your preferred debit or credit card on file. This will ease the process of payments and allow us to focus on more important things, like you!
Cancellation Policy
If you are unable to attend a session, please make sure you cancel at least 24 hours beforehand. Otherwise, you will be charged for the full rate of the session.
